Compliance 101
The word “compliance” for the consent decree, isn’t used in
the same way as our everyday conversations.
There are 3 stages of compliance a policy has to go through,
as per the rules set forth by the
Independent Monitoring Team, before it can be finalized.
Each stage includes months of back and forth between CPD
and IMT to come to an agreement on policies that can be
implemented.
A policy requires maintenance on daily operations
for 2 years to reach full operational compliance.
