Policy Review
Your Opinion Matters
Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Chicago Police Department’s Policy Review Forum. As part of the CPD’s ongoing mission to grow trust within the communities we serve, CPD seeks to provide the community meaningful opportunity to comment on Department policies. As part of these efforts, CPD periodically posts policies for public review and comment. The comment period for most policies will remain open for 15 days from the day it is published. Select policies will have longer comment periods. When the comment period closes, CPD will then review and consider your comments before finalizing the policy and placing the directive in effect.
To request or sign-up for a dialogue with members from CPD to discuss a specific topic or policy, please visit the CPD Get Involved-Engage with CPD on Reform Efforts website or email CPD at community@chicagopolice.org
To provide feedback on any other policy on CPD’s publicly available Department Directives Systems or at anytime (even if a policy is not already posted for comment), please email CPD at RandD@chicagopolice.org
